The challenge
The top-left and bottom-right corners have been removed from an 8 × 8 board. There are 62 squares left. You have 31 dominoes.
- Each domino covers exactly two squares sharing an edge. It may be horizontal or vertical.
- Dominoes cannot overlap, extend off the board or cover the removed corners.
How to play
Select two free neighbouring squares to place a domino. You can remove the last one. When ready, open “Check the argument” and complete the conditions of your proof. You do not need to place every domino before answering.
Hints are optional. Reading an explanation does not complete the level: test your strategy on the board.
